The herb Louisa<\/strong> ( Lippia triphylla<\/em> ) or verbena, lyppia, aloe, is a shrub with lanceolate leaves which have a special aroma similar to that of lemon<\/strong> .<\/p>\n

For the Iperos jar, collect the leaves in early summer and dry them by hanging them upside down in bunches in a cool raised spot in the shade.<\/p>\n

This herb originates from South Africa, but quickly reached the shores of the Mediterranean with references to it from ancient times.
