Mastic is the natural resin that comes from the trunk of the mastic tree. The mastic tree is endemic to Mediterranean countries such as Greece, Turkey and Morocco. In fact, as far as the European Union is concerned, the mastic of Chios has been a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) product since 1997. Mastic oil<\/strong> is produced by steam distillation of natural mastic and its aroma is distinct and woody, giving a sense of freshness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Mastic essential oil has antioxidant action<\/strong> for the skin and the body. Its ingredients cleanse and whiten the skin<\/strong>, while helping to tighten the tissues. You can add a few drops of the essential oil to the skin whitening cream to enhance the desired effect. You can also use it for massage dissolved in a base oil. Finally, a few drops in the caster or steamer will give you a pleasant mastic aroma, which is particularly sweet and beautiful.<\/p>\n
