Vanilla essential oil<\/strong> is highly aromatic<\/strong> and is particularly popular for its use in sweets, ice cream and desserts. In general, vanilla, from which the essential oil extract is derived, is the second most expensive flavouring, after saffron, because it needs extensive care for its proper growth. By the 19th century, attempts to cultivate it outside its place of origin, Mexico, met with failure. Thus, after extensive observation, the relationship between the climbing plant that produces the vanilla orchid and the local Melipona bee species that pollinates the plant was discovered. It was also discovered that fertilisation can be carried out by hand, opening the door to the possibility of successful cultivation in similar tropical climates. A few drops of vanilla essential oil can add a great aroma to your delicacies or handmade liqueurs. In addition, this essential oil can be used in aromatherapy<\/strong>, for massage dissolved in a vegetable oil base or to place it in your hot tub.
