Cedar essential oil is produced after the processing and distillation of the tree trunk. The cedar tree belongs to the conifer family and can be found in Greece in areas such as Crete, the Peloponnese and Cyprus. The most common variety is the Lebanese cedar. To the Lebanese people, the cedar tree has a special significance and therefore appears on both the flag and the national emblem of Lebanon. The fragrance of the essential oil is pleasant and woody.
