Fugere essential oil is a blend of essential oils based on fern, a recipe that originated in France. The word fougere “Fougere” means “fern” in French and has its origins in the 19th century when Paul Parquet created it for the famous French perfumery Houbigant. Fougere essential oil is the result of the combination of various aromatic oils, the most notable of which are lavender, moss, oak and hints of oak base, resulting in an intense and strong fragrance that is hard to forget. Of course, it can also be an ingredient in a perfume or after shave cream. It is considered the basis of a man’s fragrance and is the quintessence of masculinity.
