The essential oil of meadowsweet comes from the distillation of its leaves and has a soft and warm aroma, with a hint of lemon. It is particularly rare and is usually found in the form of a mixture with other oils with similar properties. It has the same properties as the leaves, but is much more potent. The polyphenols and flavonoids it contains neutralize free radicals, reduce inflammation, protect and repair skin damage.

The terpenes give the extract rich soothing properties while eugenol and tannins, which it also contains, ensure antibacterial and anti-inflammatory action with skin diseases. It revitalizes and moisturizes the skin and has strong antioxidant action on face and body. Soothes the pains of rheumatism and arthritis. It is indicated as an effective treatment for infections and allergies, such as hay fever and eczema, and in an olive oil or yarrow vegetable oil base helps in the treatment of herpes.

By mixing it in a ceramic ointment or almond oil base and adding lavender and citronella essential oil it is used for insect bites or to repel insects.

Beeswax essential oil combines very well with: rose, jasmine, lemon, lemon, marjoram, fennel, lavender, ylang-ylang, sedge, chamomile, bergamot, orange.
