Lavender flower water is the extract formed during the distillation of lavender with steam to produce the essential oil. Like lavender essential oil, lavender flower water has many beneficial properties for the skin and the mind.

Lavender flower water is the extract formed during the distillation of lavender with steam to produce the essential oil. During distillation, the liquid collected by the water vapor consists of 2 layers: the essential oil that floats at the top and the flower water at the bottom. By its nature, flower water contains a small percentage of lavender essential oil and in addition contains the water-soluble substances of the plant. No additional additives or preservatives are added to our product. It consists of 100% natural substances of lavender that are released during steam distillation.
Like lavender essential oil, lavender flower water has many beneficial properties for the skin and for the mind. The smell however is very different from what you are used to with lavender essential oil, it could be described as spicy. There are applications of lavender flower water in everyday life.
Lavender flower water has calming and soothing properties just like lavender essential oil. It works rejuvenating , sedative , astringent, cleansing and helps treat inflammation.
It is excellent for relieving sunburn , other minor burns and skin inflammations. You can spray the liquid on the face (close the eyes first) as well as on the skin of the body.
It has a soothing effect in case of insect bites or contact with e.g. irritating plants.
Can be used for all skin types. It is also perfect for use in daily skin care as a tonic. Cleanses, removes impurities and moisturizes the skin .
If you have oily hair you can use it after shampooing. Spray the hair with lavender flower water and let it soak for a minute before drying.
In addition to all the positive properties on our skin, lavender flower water also has refreshing and relaxing effects on the mind and thinking . For example, spray your pillowcase in the room or use it as a scented space.
Ways to use lavender flower water:
- Add it to the clothes rinse or spray during ironing for clean and fragrant clothes .
- Add it to the bath water or spray directly on your pillow for a good night’s sleep.
- Mix lavender flower water with kaolin clay and oat flakes for a non-drying detoxification mask .
- Use it daily as a make-up remover with your cotton.
- Spray with lavender flower water to soothe hot flashes, sunburns, heat rashes, insect bites and itching. Or make a cold compress with 100ml of cold flower water. Pour into a bowl and add 2-3 drops of lavender essential oil. Place a clean cloth in the liquid and let it soak. Squeeze and place it over the affected area for up to 10 minutes.
- Mix 100ml of lavender flower water with up to 12 drops in total of lavender and mint essential oils for a wonderful, cool and soothing spray that relieves allergies .
